Funny Signage
One weekday afternoon I was walking pass the Sri Mariamman Temple on South Bridge Road, I saw a Caucasian couple pointing to a signage at the temple entrance and smiling sheepishly. I was thinking what so funny about the signage? So out of curiosity I walked up to the signature to take a closer look and guess what is written on the signage? The signage states: "Erection in Progress"! Hahaha...
Now I know why the couple is smiling sheepishly! The temple is about to be renovated and the construction workers were putting up some scaffoldings. The signage is there to warn visitors of the work in progress and to be careful when standing near the scaffoldings.
I guess someone may have found the wordings inappropriate in this situation because when I walked passed the temple again few days later the signage has been replaced. The new signage now states: "Scaffolding in progress".
These pictures are taken with my Nokia E71 mobile phone.

Sunset view from Sengkang
Yesterday I was having dinner at my friend's house in Sengkang when my uncle SMS me that a rainbow has appeared in the sky. I quickly ran to the living room windows with my Canon 5D MKII and a 24-105mm lens hoping to take pictures of the rainbow but there was no rainbow to be found! Instead, I saw this beautiful dusk sky towards the west and decided to take a picture of the sunset.

Good Morning Bishan Park
Bishan Park is a great place for exercises for many people. To me it is a great place for photography. Although the park layout is quite simple, I could always find something interesting to photograph.
I love to explore Bishan Park early in the morning with the sun is low in the sky, casting long shadows of the trees and backlighting the leaves, giving the park a refreshing look. The calmness of the pond creates a mirror like reflection of the surrounding bridges, trees and clouds in the sky. Occasionally a passerby or cyclist reflected in the pond also makes an interesting subject for photography!
There are many species of birds chirping loudly in the trees welcoming the new dawn and squirrels running and jumping from tree to tree gathering food. There is also freshness in the air!
How I wish every day is a Sunday so I could go on exploring the park for photo opportunity!

Big Egg In The Sky
Last Saturday morning, I was looking out of my kitchen window to check the weather condition before the morning walk and I spotted a big moon in the sky. It looks like a big egg from where I'm standing. Hence I quickly took out my camera to take a few photos.
The moon with the black background was taken on Saturday 6.59am with my Nikon D300 camera and a Nikon AF 70-300mm lens. The moon with the blue background was taken on Sunday at 7.59am with my Canon 40D and a Canon EF100-400 lens.

Mahjong Session
Recently I went to a friend’s house in a luxury condominium for dinner. After dinning we sat around to chit chat until one of them suggested to play a game of mahjong. There were five of us and all four know how to play mahjong except me. Therefore while they were playing mahjong I took out my camera and started photographing them.
I love it when they shuffled the mahjong blocks around. You could see lots of hands movement as mahjong tiles were being moved around the table! Initially I was using a high shutter speed and the pictures did not turn out very interesting. Eventually I lowered my shutter speed and I managed to capture a good motion shot!
